About

A page meant to give my wild thoughts free-rein;

To contour them, to give them a definition;

For they saunter aimlessly in my mind.

Spending most of my time juggling with numbers and curves, words are the surest way for me to escape from the mundane. Here I will write about things that piques my interest. And I do not promise to subscribe to a single theme. But then, isn’t life more beautiful when it is full of surprises and serendipity? 🙂

I look forward to this beautiful odyssey with you.

Peace and Love,
Urvashi, The Little Mermaid

  1. Heylow there Mermaid 🙂 I love the mermaids(not that I have seen one but in the stories they all look so cute and sweet except for the mermish in HP) Ahh I digress 😀 So I saw that a mermaid was liking my comments on Donna’s post and I decided to pay her a visit and oh boy I am glad I did 😀 I quite like the eclectic flavors you have here and your ruthless honesty and humour exuding posts 🙂 Hope to see you more in this wonderful world of blogs 🙂 Cheers and warmest wishes, Minaxi ❤

  2. hey Urvashi,

Appreciate your composition on the blog – Good to know you…

Starting lines – “A page meant to give my wild thoughts free-rein” and ending lines “Peace and Love,” makes you best at heart…

Just a suggestion for blog setting…
Your homepage visit do not allow visitors to like the post. Visitor has to individually open the post to like it. So you can change some setting in wordpress >> refer http://wp.me/p3dJz1-d7

    See you in flying colors…

  3. I realise you may not reply for several weeks, the trials and tribulations of a mermaid being varied and time eating, but I’m just adhering to your recent request. Here I am, keeping in touch 🙂 You have some highly interesting posts, I’m looking forward to diving in further and seeing under the surface. 🙂

  4. Don’t blame you for coming out from behind all those numbers…a “hidden figure” kind of lady with talents of many kinds. Good for you! Thanks for the visit, come back anytime…

    Steve

      1. That will be very nice, “Mermaid!” May I know your first name? I like to make my comments and replies a bit more personal by using my friend’s names…

          1. Oh so sorry I missed it! I love the name, Urvashi. It’s so unique, I hope to become very familiar with it Urvashi. And thank you for your visit and reply!

            Steve

    1. My handsome baldy Rich, it feels great to hear from you. I’m currently taken up with the 21 days revolution bootcamp and it’s quite a challenge to manage work, fitness and writing all at the same time. To top it up, the first months of 2017 were a bit stressful. How are you doing? I miss you and everyone here too. I never meant to disappear like this and trust me, I do feel guilty about it. I’ll be back as soon as possible.

Sending you positive vibes, lots of love and hugs, buddy! Take good care of yourself. X

    1. Hi Vicky, a pleasure to meet you too. I’ve visited your blog. It’s in Italian which makes it impossible for me to grasp your content. But the kind mutual sentiments that we share count.

      Hugs X

    1. Bonjour Louis! Je suis enchantée de te connaître. J’ai lu quelques articles sur ton blog. Ils sont vraiment bien écrits. Je vais te suivre aussi.

À très bientôt, mon ami! Bisous 😊

  5. I think it’s great when people don’t keep to a single theme. It means it’s more you… I would like to know why Little Mermaid 🙂

    1. Hi Simon, how are you doing? Yeah, I don’t limit myself to a niche because my writings are kinda spontaneous. If something captures my interest in my day-to-day life, and if it’s shareable, I blog about it. Simple as that! You’ll notice that my lovely audience also enjoy the vast topics up here and they leave meaningful comments after their read. It doesn’t get boring this way.

Please keep in touch. Hugs X

      1. Hi Mermaid, I do limit myself but then I branch out from time to time, which is the same thing but kind of different lol, but like you I like to captures something that takes my interest.
I don’t ever think you’re boring – I should pop by more often in fact.
You keep in touch too yeah? Hugs xo
email me if you ever feel the need 🙂

        1. I always have a pleasant time reading your posts. I appreciate how you’ve categorized your writings and you have fun with blogging. When you blog with a fervent passion and for the pure joy out of it, readers also get to feel your enthusiasm. You are doing it right!

          See you around! XOXO

  6. Hello Little Mermaid/Urvashi!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I love this introduction to yourself! When I have a bit more time to return and peruse, I’ll see what trouble I can get into… see what this mermaid stuff is all about. 😉
    Cheers,
    Professor T

  7. Nice to meet you! I love The Little Mermaid name, that is my friend Amber’s little Gracey’s favorite film. I’ve written some fun stories for Gracey. She loves them and she tells Amber ‘I know he wrote it for me because he spelled my name right’. My life is going through a rebuild. Nice to read your posts..

    1. Hi there, it’s been a pleasure to have you commenting, liking and sharing your itsy-bitsy life events on my blog. I appreciate your involvement. Please keep in touch.

Wishing you courage and love as you go through life’s bittersweet games. Hugs XO

  8. Hi Little Mermaid, I presume you are one of the nice mermaids, after all you like my children’s books. I am about ready to publish Book 4 early because the parents of the two kids I wrote it for wants to read it. Interesting! In this book I tell who the “others” are. I will have it on Kindle for 5 days Free so the family I wrote it for can download it. Of course anyone can download it too! Thanks for commenting!

  9. Reading your ‘About’ page has piqued my curiosity. You say you spend most of your time with numbers and curves…are you some sort of mathematician/scientist/engineer? I only ask because I was a chemist before I retired, and there’s really not many women who follow a career in STEM! If you’re one of them, well done for being strong and following your ambition!
    xx

    1. Hi there, thanks for dropping by my blog. Oups! I’m not in STEM, unfortunately or FORTUNATELY because except for Mathematics, I would probably suck at the others. Haha! I have studied Economics and Finance, heeding the call of my heart.

Anyway, I appreciate your encouragement. Do keep in touch. X

    1. Aw, MERCI. Actually, I’m a Mauritian and most of us speak both English and French fluently. We join the best of both worlds, you see? Haha! I hope our mixed culture excites you to visit our country someday. 🙂

  10. `Thanks for liking a comment that I made the other day. I am glad you did since that brought me to your blog. I would love to hear your comments about The Ruminant Scribe. Blessings to you today.

  11. Just read about the former bf experience and wow so glad you have grown out of that and obviously learned a great deal. Thank you for sharing and from the Prophet the story On Pain is my favorite and helped me at one time when i needed such wisdom. Be well!

    1. Hi Brett, thanks for dropping by. That experience definitely helped in shaping my personality and character to be tougher and more empathetic to my surrounding. I’ve taken it very positively.

Have a nice weekend! Hugs X

  12. Hi TLM, you have a very lovely blog which is getting popular day by day. The level of English you write is high. It looks like you have studied the English Language extensively to be able to communicate with such fluency. Bravo!
I’d suggest you do freelancing, if you have not already started. Τo be able to be sսccesѕful with freelancing, it is necessary to be self-discіplined, motivated, аnd organizеd. If ʏou elect to take the road օf frᥱelancіng, you will be able to search and obtain prospective jobs, be very effectiᴠe in scheduling yoսr time, and have good math skillѕ for tһe purpose of bіlling and taxes.
    Looking forward to your posts,
    Jack
